Reference Sires
Glenoch Angus use carefully selected reference sires from Australia, USA and our own home bred genetics to produce sons that will contribute to the profitability of your program. Each year we make our selection for backup bulls from the yearling group based on their phenotype, actual performance and scan data plus EBV’s and Genomics. Their dam’s production record is also high on our list of requirements.
GLENOCH T153 PV (AI)
T153 who is by EG Eyes Onyou is noted for body depth, natural shape, growth performance and docility. A very well-bred sire by Hoover No Doubt, who we chose for his depth of body and natural shape with a focus on growth traits and docility. T153 was one of the best performing yearlings for weight at 291 kg.
DUNOON DATA PLUS S603 PV (Natural)
Dunoon Data Plus S603 was selected for his exceptional structural integrity, softness, docility, and ability to promote calving ease while maintaining a balanced, modern, growth curve. He was selected to use mainly over heifers. See Lots 3, 29, 64
HOOVER ABOUT IT PV (Natural)
Hoover About it is an attractive low birthweight bull that is really long, big hipped, thick, with added muscle. His dam is a beautiful uddered, moderate cow with a 349-day calving interval, indicative of the superior fertility in his cow family. Great grandam, G366, is regarded as the best and most influential cow in Hoovers 95-year history.
CONNEALY WAY MAKER PV (Natural)
Way Maker is a bull that has been used for functionality, muscle, thickness, length, softness, docility and sound structure. We have used Way Maker for a couple of years for his good growth indexes and a good easy bull to put across our cow herd. We are pleased with the progeny although a bit early to tell.
STERLING PACIFIC 904 PV (Natural)
A powerful son of Hoover No Doubt who has continued to take the world by storm, out of Breastmodes full flush sister. He is deep, stout, square made, structurally correct with a top-notch disposition. With all growth traits in the top 1,4 and 6%, he is a bull that will add performance with maternal strength coming from the famous Baldridge Isabel Y69, who needs no introduction. Sterling Pacific’s temperament is top 2% and his progeny are very docile. We used him for his outstanding growth traits, performance, docility.
CARMISTE SPARTAN S3 PV (Natural)
He is a Pheasantry son we bought in partnership with Rob Williams and Chris King. Purchased for his very high IMF very good calving ease and maternal data. He is very good structurally and very easy fleshing bull. His Ebv’s for birth weight, EMA and IMF are outstanding, all being in the top 3%. Unfortunately, we only have 1 son in the sale, and we have used him on cows. Lot 19 has good data for those traits as well.
